Robert Conti Obituary
MUNROE FALLS -- Robert Dominic Conti, 90, our wonderful father, husband, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully at home and into the loving arms of God on August 27, 2016.
Born in Akron, Robert lived with his parents in Carovilli, Italy until the age of six. He was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church and an active member of Knights of Columbus Council #3410. He was also founder and president of the R.O.M.E.O. Club.
Preceded in death by his parents, Stefano and Antoinetta; stepmother, Lucy; and grandson, Mark; he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye; children, Stephen Conti, Linda (Michael) Trotto, William (Nicole) Conti, Christina Conti, Michael (Melissa) Conti and Michelle Conti; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Robert grew up on North Hill and graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1944. In World War II, he proudly served his country in the Army Air Force. After the war, he worked as a salesman for the M.F. Murdock Company in Akron for 39 years, where he met and married the love of his life, Faye. When he retired, he worked for Varca Hardware in Akron for fifteen years.
Robert was devoted to his family, his friends and his faith. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and his positive outlook. He treated everyone with respect and loved to enjoy a good conversation; he never met a stranger.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m., where Knights of Columbus will conduct Rosary service at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church, Fr. Thomas McCann celebrant. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa. (REDMON, STOW, 330-688-6631)

Mr. Conti was always such a nice man to me. His whole family are the same way. Wonderful people. So sorry for your loss........ especially to Steve, Bill and Linda.

Growing up down the street, there were always tons of kids around the Conti's house and yard. Mr and Mrs Conti always welcomed it! They helped to form what I believe was an incredible neighborhood to grow up in. Truly nice and generous people. The Kueblers send their condolences.

To Bill, Steve and all of Robert's loved ones:
I pray that God Almighty grants you peace and His grace and guidance as you make your way through your time of mourning.
Though I didn't know him, I certainly know the good men his boys grew to become in you, Bill and Steve. I have a tremendous amount of respect for you both for the manner in which you carry yourselves in life and your work - and that didn't come as a matter of happenstance. I am convinced that your father served as a great role model, teacher, mentor and loving patriarch for you and all of your family.
My days at SGS provided me with many wonderful experiences and memories - and both of you are a big part of that. You both have influenced my life in more ways than you may know...and I think you learned much about being men through your father.
I thank him for raising such fine men and hope that you and your family find peace in the memories you will carry through your remaining years until you are reunited in The Hereafter.
