Patricia M. Mohney

1942 - 2025

Patricia M. Mohney, 83, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois with her family by her side.

She was born April 21, 1942, to Joseph John and Mary Elizabeth (Nowaski) Bogacki in DuBois.

Patty was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church. She worked as a cafeteria aid at Bell Township Elementary School for 15 years until her retirement. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler. She enjoyed listening to the Sunday morning Polka Party with the Big Moose, playing bingo, watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and Penn State Football. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Peter J. Mohney and wife Ashley, Punxsutawney, Dr. Michael R. Mohney, State College, and Douglas J. Mohney and wife Elizabeth, DuBois, four grandchildren, Evan J., Hannah M., Arden J. and Mason J. Mohney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry M. Mohney on October 20, 2006.

A private prayer service will be held for the family and a memorial mass will be held at a later date.

Interment will take place at Desire Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
