Lena H. Werner

June 11, 1928 – July 25, 2025

Lena H. Werner passed away July 25, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at Rock Creek Care Center. She was 97.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, August 12 at St. Patrick Church in Grass Valley at 10:30 a.m.

A Viewing will be held at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary on Monday, August 11 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Lena's first sunrise was on June 11, 1928 in Pembina County, North Dakota to Theodore Koropatnicki (father) and Mary Koropatnicki (mother). Lena married Oswald Werner on August 24, 1946. They farmed the land until 1956 when they moved to Southern California. Then they moved to Grass Valley in 1980 where they stayed.

Lena loved traveling. She went to all 50 states, Europe and Australia. She also loved dancing, playing cards, going to the casino, fishing and was very active the Catholic church.

Family was very important and she loved her grand kids. Lena's last sunset was August 25, 2025 at Rock Creek Care Center.

Lena will be missed by her family and all that knew her.

She is survived by her three sons Richard, William and Jack Werner.
