We all will miss Monk - from his card playing days, his golf games and stories, his sports trivia/ history and especially the build up to Easter and party following. One of the great "guys" at ROCC - friend to many. Speaking for me and the friends of Monk that will not get to place an entry here "we'll miss you"

Monk was a legend at River Oaks Country Club. Many missed his amazing persona when he moved to Pasadena and many are sorry to hear of his passing. Memories of Monk will always bring smiles to our faces.

Monk was an important mentor and friend while we practiced law together with Gulf Oil Corp in Houston. As a young lawyer struggling to understand how to be an effective attorney, I always turned to Monk for guidance and support. His door was not only open but he greeted me with a big " come on in here Duck". I will forever value his help and I will never forget this kind and wonderful person.
