1919 - 2018

BYRNE, HELEN L. Helen L. (LaForest) Byrne our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt entered into eternal peace Saturday February 3, 2018 after enjoying a long, healthy and happy life. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 30, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Lola Cherepes. Helen's family was the light of her life, she leaves to cherish her memory her children: Lee (Diana) LaForest, Gail (Richard) Gromaski, Ilene (Richard) Byrne, Mike (Lois) LaForest, Fred (Peggy) LaForest, Jeanne (John) Elsen and Annette Bourcier (Fiance' Todd Dolney); 15 grandchildren, 28 Great grandchildren and 19 Great-great grandchildren with one on the way; Her sister Margaret Decker, brother in law Robert Byrne and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Byrne and granddaughter Melissa Cnudde. We would like to convey our sincere appreciation to everyone that touched her life at Sheffield Bay Assisted Living also the kind and generous staff at Heartland Hospice. Helen's family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday February 6, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Lee Ramsay Funeral Home, 107 E. 2nd St., Pinconning, MI. On Wednesday visitation will continue at Holy Trinity (St. Michael's Parish), 225 S. Jennings St., Pinconning, MI, from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be directed to Heartland Hospice in honor of Helen Byrne or Reverence Hospice in honor of Missy Cnudde.
