Another year approaches. And I think about that day often. You're passing has personalized that tragedy for me. You were able to make me cry one night by telling me how much the little mundane things I did for you meant so much to a beautiful person like you. I saw your innocence in your goodness many times and I don't think there was one bad bone in your body. Rest in peace sweetie

To all who perished on that tragic day and to everyone left behind:
I did not have the pleasure of knowing Kimberly Bowers or her family but they are in my thoughts and prayers. So let us make the best use of our time because the world we live in today is full of trials and tribulations. I look forward to the day when evil no longer exists and death & pain are no more. We can be confident God will bring this about in the very near future because it is impossible for him to lie.

Kim, Just heard your name. Your beautiful face came on the screen, and it reminded me of how special, sweet, beautiful and smart you were. We knew each other briefly, while working a 2 Broadway. I remember our conversations in my office, when we both needed a time out! Your beauty and sweetness will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace, my friend. Love, Lana

On one of the anniversaries - I don't remember which, I was a reader and read your name as it was so close to my brother in laws. One night sitting alone watching TV a 20/20 segment came on mentioning you and breifly showing me reading your name - I feel connected to you and so understand and personally share the deep overwhelming grief and pain of that day with your family. May God wrap his arms around you for eternity allowing you the most beautiful peace. I still think of you and will never forget

Today is September 11, 2014. I'm fifteen years old and an currently in my sophomore year of high school. I never knew Kimberly, and I have only been to New York once in my lifetime. I'm from a small town in North Carolina. We had a project today in my American History class, and I chose Kimberly to write a summary about. I just wanted to say prayers go out for her family on this sad day. I'm sure she was an amazing person and she is missed dearly.

Kim, I can't believe it has been 13 years. I never knew you but as I have stated before we share a name. I still think of you often and wonder if given the chance what impact on the world you would have had. I continue to think of your family and know that you are watching over them. RIP Kim Bowers, Ontario, Canada

Hi Kimmy, again we have never met but we share a name and also our nicknames...Kimmy only my family calls me that now. I still think of you often and all those lost on that tragic day. Today on the University of Illinois campus flags are being placed on the Quad (a large grassy area where students congegrate and pass while changing from class to class) to remember those who perished on this day 11 years ago. Also, stickers were passed out with the names of those who lost their lives on 9/11. I am proudly wearing the name of Kimberly S. Bowers. God bless you and yours today and always.

Kim,
I did not know you personally, but I have learned alot about you over the past year and what a beautiful person you were. I want you to know that you were loved by many, but especially by your husband Garlin. He had a very hard time dealing with your death and never thought he would ever love again. I want you to know that I am the one who helped heal his heart. Thank You, Kim for sharing this wonderful man with me. You will forever be in our hearts.

Kim we never met but my second cousin Barbara's Daughter lost her life while working at Cantor Fitzgerald. We lived in Manhattan and now on the Tenth anniversary, the losses are still as raw as they were on that brisk blue skied day. May you rest in peace and remember that love is eternal for those who love. Thinking of you.

To Kimberly & her family,
I hope you are the same Kimberly that I'm thinking of...even if not, I am thinking of you today.
I attended Morris School (the 6th grade center) in Rockville Centre, Long Island. That was the last year this school was open before it was torn down. All of the elementary school students in RVC went to Morris for 6th grade. I believe that you were in my 6th grade class. There was a wonderful, sweet girl who befriended me the 1st day of school....her name was Kim Bowers. I believe she was you. However, you moved away fairly quickly.
I would like to take this day to share this happy memory of you. Funny, I even remember what you were wearing when I first met you :)
If any of Kim's family members read this, please reply & confirm that Kim lived in Rockville Centre for a time. I would love to know that I am thinking of the same Kim. Again, either way, I am thinking so very much about Kim today.
-Pam

Kimmy,
It is now 10 years and each year I pause to think of you. Today, Sunday I am watching on TV the dedication of the WTC Memorial. No longer physically in NY my heart is still there.
When you worked at EC in the early 90's you were such an
important part of all our lives. When it came time for me to move on, you gave me your strength and encouragement always reminding me things will work out.
You are loved and missed by all. David F. and I speak of you and remember you often.
We'll always love you and miss you.

Hi Kim - After over 7 years you entered my thoughts as I was sitting at home doing some work. I only knew you for a short time while working at 2 Broadway. I'm glad you are at peace.

I selected a card with Kimberly's name on it at my local library. In her memory and that of all the others who lost their lives I plan to donate blood, and to commit a random act of kindness. I will always carry this card with me to remind myself and others that real people died that day, not just faceless statistics. She will never be forgotten. God Bless Us All

I had not seen Kim in years but when I saw her name back in September, I couldn't help but recall all the times we spent together. I have many memories of my telling her to getbusy and to stop making me laugh at the office! Of course now, I am thinking of Kim much more often.
My condolences and prayers to you, Kimberly's family and friends... It's really a long journey. You do not heal with time but your coping skills become more refined and a little stronger each day. She will always be with you.

My son Max just walked into the room to see what I was doing. I told him that I was writting a tribute to Kim and he said "Ma- she was a Yankee fan" sacrilege in the Giaccone household! And then proceeded to go on about how they would battle over their favorite NY teams whenever he visited the office.
Joe adored Kim. She was very special to him. She drove him crazy, but he loved her none the less.
I'm sorry that we didn't get to know each other better. But I truly beleive that just from the time we spent on the phone together, given the opportunity, we would have been friends.
My 15 year old daughter Alex spent 2 days a week this summer working with Kim. She really enjoyed her time there. Kim was great with her. Alex really felt like she belonged. I know it was the bond she shared with Kim that made her days so enjoyable.
Kim, My heart goes out to your family. I know how important they were to you. I also want to thank you for making my little girl feel so special last summer, and most importantly for being such a good friend to JOe.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Shortly after I broke the news about their dad, my children asked if Kim was OK. It broke my heart to tell them that she was not. They will always remember how she played with them at the office, gave them candy and always sent them home with a memento from her office.
