Patricia A. Bowers

Patrica A. Bowers, 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Ballston Spa, New York on July 27, 1951, to Frank and Gladys Caputo. She grew up in the Village of Ballston Spa, attended St Mary's School and graduated from St Peter's High School. She met the love of her life, Glenn Bowers, Sr as a teen and was happily married for 48 years, raising their three children in the Village that she loved.

Patty was the Ballston Spa Village Clerk for 25 years, retiring in 2006. She was a proud member of the Village and actively supported Village events, most notably as Mrs. Claus in the Christmas parade for almost 20 years. Patty loved camping and taking trips to watch Nascar with her fields & family. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, cooking for friends & family, bowling, taking trips with her fellow seniors, and watching the Yankees. She was an avid Yankees fan and loved taking trips to Yankee Stadium as often as she could. After retirement, Patty volunteered for After the Fire eventually serving as Board President. She also was a member of the Ballston Area Seniors. Her greatest joy was her family and she treasured the memories they shared together.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Glenn Bowers, Sr. Patty is survived by her children Kristina Bowers, Glenn Bowers, Jr. (Nora), and Betsy Hutchison (Jon), grandchildren Michaela (Chris), Aubrey (Evan), Siarra, Devin, Steven, and Kodie, great grandchildren Brynnleigh and Savon, her sister Francine (Ed) Snyder, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her fur babies Rufus and Fiona.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, March 30 from 4pm to 7pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Funeral services will be held 10am Tuesday, March 31 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville. Memorial contributions in memory of Patty may be made to Union Fire Co #2, , Victory Junction who she knitted many blankets for, or Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
