Bruce A. Lunde

Bruce A. Lunde, 86, passed away on Monday March 16, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital. He was born on October 7, 1939, to Arthur and Sigrid (Bersagel) Lunde, and was the oldest of five children.

Bruce was a sales representative for General Electric Credit Auto Leasing for many years, where he specialized in providing leasing services to BMW dealerships throughout New York and New Jersey. After his career at GE he joined State Employees Federal Credit Union, in Albany, NY where he established the car buyers service. His retirement job was as a member of the grounds crew at Saratoga Spa Golf in Saratoga Springs. Bruce was a longtime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Malta, NY serving on the church council and often volunteering at numerous church events. Bruce was very proud of his Norwegian heritage and was a member of the Sons of Norway lodge in Staten Island, NY for a time.

Bruce enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his wife of 64 years, Carole Lunde (nee Buonocore). They made annual trips to San Diego, California and also enjoyed traveling through New York and New England, as well as trips to Virginia to visit his brother Steven and his family. Bruce was huge Buffalo Bills fan, and could rarely be seen without his beloved Bills cap. He loved cars and would tell anyone willing to listen about the Triumph TR 2 sportscar he had as a young man. He was an avid golfer, and in his retirement would play regularly with his sister Paula Eggleston and her husband Lloyd. He even had a hole in one at the Saratoga Spa Executive course. Bruce also looked forward to annual trips to hunting camp with his brother Stuart and brother-in-law Lloyd.

Bruce is survived by his wife Carole, his sons, Glenn Lunde (Laura) and Michael Lunde (Robyn); his grandchildren, Ian, Nicholas, Colin, Cameron and Samantha and great-grandson Ellis, siblings Paula Eggleston, Stuart Lunde and Steven Lunde. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Sigrid, and his sister Priscilla Thommassen.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday March 22, from 2PM to 4PM at Armer Funeral Home, Inc. 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa, NY. A service will be held on Monday March 23, at 10AM at the funeral home. Bruce will be laid to rest in the Ballston Spa Village Cemetery.
