Dear Glen, We met in the early 1990's at the Sutphin Blvd/Archer station when I lived in Jamaica, Queens. We would see one another every morning and one day you said hello. We became friends. Funny enough we both worked at Guy Carpenter where I was a temp in 1988. The last time we saw each other was at my wedding in 1995. Well Glen, I'm divorced now. If you can read this, you are probably remembering my conversations with you about the drama in my life with the men. A few days after the tragedy, my ex husband called me into the living room and said, Donna, isn't that your friend? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your picture shown on FOX 5 News. Maybe that was your way of saying bye to me. Every year I watch the memorial so I can see your name appear on the screen. I will always remember you.
Always, your friend with the English accent. X

Just to let you know I've been wearing Glenn's bracelet which my son-in-law brought me from the WTC museum a year ago. I've been thinking of him alot this week and know for his family it's still painful to remember Sept. 11. I'll be praying for all of you frequently.

I was about 18 years old when I started working for Guy Carpenter. Years later, one of the people I most remember is Glen. He always had a smile for me every time I would see him. He would always ask me how school was going. One day, while walking through the mall where I attended school, I saw Glen walking with his daughter. He went out of his way to stop me and say hello. Even though, I didn't know Glen very well, I'll always remember his warm and friendly smile. May you rest in peace.

On the anniversary of that dark, dark day, I am sitting here thinking about you. I have always wondered what you were doing on that ill fated day when that building collapsed, then I came up with the answer. I know, been the gentleman that you were, you were helping others to safety. Love and miss you Glen.

GLENN NOT SEEING YOUR BRIGHT SMILE EVERY DAY HAS CHANGE SO MANY LIFES.
TO REMEMBER ME
IF YOU MUST BURY SOMTHING
LET IT BE MY FAULTS,
MY WEAKNESSES
AND ALL MY PREJUDICE
AGAINST MY FELLOW MAN
GIVE MY SINS TO THE DEVIL
GIVE MY SOUL TO GOD
IF BY CHANCE,
YOU WISH TO REMEMBER ME
DO IT WITH A KID DEED OR WORD
TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT
IF YOU DO ALL I HAVE ASKED
I WILL LIVE FOREVER
I MISS YOU SO MUCH

We Remember Them
From the Gates of Repentance
New Union Prayer Book for the Days of Awe
Author Unknown
At the rising of the sun and at its going down,
We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter,
We remember them.
At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring,
We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer,
We remember them.
At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn,
We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live;
for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength,
We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart,
We remember them.
When we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make,
We remember them .
When we have achievements that are based on theirs,
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too shall live,
for they are a part of us, as we remember them.
In Loving Memory of our Beloved RSI Colleagues, Stephanie, Aida, Bob, Glenn, Bill, Nancy, Sandy, Joe
& all of the other innocents who were the first heroes in the this war on terrorism. May their sacrifices serve to strengthen our resolve, and may we never forget how they laughed and lived and worked and loved. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I just want to say what a great guy Glen was. It was a pleasure to work with him. We also had great times at the christmas parties. He certainly liked his sports and he thought he was good at picking the winning teams in football. Usually we were both wrong. At least he rooted for a great baseball team. The NY METS. Goodbye friend we will miss you.
