Cindy: You remain very much in my memory at SUNY Geneseo 13 years since you graduated. A few weeks ago I visited the 9/11 Memorial , found your name, and reflected on the bright future you had before it was cut short in such an abrupt and awful way. Today (9/11/14), I will share your memory with my students.

Cindy I got your name randomly from a 9/11 memorial site on facebook. To see your picture and connect your beautiful face to this tragedy ten years ago puts things more in perspective. God bless your sweet soul and may you rest in peace in the Lord's gracious arms.

Stuck in the elevator on the 12th floor. What a terrible story. May God be with you. Amen.

You are remembered often, even if I don't have the words to express it adequately.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

Cindy was a kind and hard working girl. She was patient and considerate, always put priorities on her family and friends ' needs before hers. She will never be forgotten, and her smiles will always be in my memories.

I never had the priviledge of knowing Yan Z, but chose her to make a quilt square for the 911 Memorial Quilt. I felt I was close to her as I made the square and welcomed the chance to pray for her and her family. This was such a very tragic time, and I pray those who knew her and loved her will be comforted a small bit, knowing that others care. I was truly honored to sew this quilt for Cindy--what a beautiful young woman. Phyllis

I saw your story in Union Sq, New York when I went to school a week after 9/11. I was astonished by your lovely smiling face and the tragedy occured to you. You are so young, it shouldn't have happened to you. Just wish your are happy in heaven.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
