Theresa, The Donohue family every year are in churches all across the Country praying for Larry and your family 9/11. We pray my father and Larry have found peace and are having a good laugh with all the Manleys in Heaven. We need to have a family reunion in South Hampton. It would be an honor for the next generation of DONOHUES to thank Michael & Brian. May God Bless all of you. Gayle Donohue

We miss and continue to love Uncle Larry everyday. He was a hero in the firehouse and out of the firehouse. He has amazing children who too follow in his footsteps. I think of the kindness and the stories he told so, so often. ❤❤❤ Grace Ryan

I am participating in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in San Diego on Sept. 7, 2014. This Sunday, we're climbing 110 floors (30 floors 3 times plus extra) in honor of those who were lost in the Twin Towers.
Each climber has been assigned someone in order to make the climb in their memory. I was given your name, Lawrence Stack, Battalion Chief, FDNY.
I wanted you to know that we're thinking of you as we honor you and the ultimate sacrifice of all responders on that fateful day.

My life has been graced with this dedicated canine companion who was named and trained in Chief Stack's honor and memory. He serves people, including me, in so many ways. I am awed by the way the Stack family, friends and loved ones channeled their grief into a legacy of love, dedication and service to others. Forever grateful, Lori

I grew up with Larry in College Pt. We lived across from each other and our families were also close. Larry's father was also a fireman and for as long as I can remember he wanted to be one too. He died a hero doing what he loved to do. God bless him and his family.

I was a neighbor of the Stacks who owned a condo in Delray Beach at the time of the 2001 attacks, and though I never met him, I am deeply saddened at the loss of this wonderful person who gave his life running into the building while the rest of us would have been running out. God bless the Stack family, and know that thoughts and prayers are always with you.

I just came across this website today. Not a day goes by that I dont think about that terrible day. I remember seeing Larry going up and down the street in his car with Abbey. It seemed that they were best buds. Just knowing the Stacks as neighbors they were truly genuine people. Your family is always in my thoughts. God Bless...

I was walking down the pier today in Flager Beach, Fl., when I saw the tribute to Larry Stack etched in the plank that makes up the pier. It was one of many, but to me it meant the most. I never met Larry but he is my hero. I too am a firefighter, a volunteer in Newtown Sq, PA. I'll never forget 9/11 or the many men like Larry who made the ultimate sacrafice, they hold a special place in my heart. God bless Larry and all the men/woman of FDNY, they work hard to keep us all safe.

I can't believe that I just came across this today. If I had known it was here I would have written long ago. Larry was my cousin Teri's husband and although it has been years since we saw each other, my heart has and will always go out to her and the family for this tragic loss!

My family has known the Stack's for 28 years. Michael and I as well as my brother played little league together, often with Mr Stack being the umpire. He was more than that. For me and my brother he was a second father to us. Often giving advice on life which I still use today. Mike, Brian, my brother and I are still friends to this day. Never a day goes by that I don't think of the loss of that great man. He unconditionally loved his family as well as his neighbors. If I could be half of what that man was, I would take that in a heartbeat. God bless you Mr. Stack. You, Mrs. Teri Stack, and your sons are true hero's to all of us.

" I grew up with Larry's wife and met him when they were dating."
I did, as well. Larry lost his life in the service of helping people, and his legacy will go on. To Teri, and the rest of the family, our thoughts have been, and will be with you always.
I am so glad that we were all able to get together at the 25th HS Reunion; and as I look back on the photo's we took that day, I get to remember "Big Larry" smiling and being joyfully alive.
Love, Cookie F. W.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I grew up with Larry's wife and met him when they were dating. I went to their wedding. Larry was on the local news here, and in our newspaper. On a happier note, many years ago, when larry was in the NYC Police Department (mounted police, he made the newspaper when his horse fell asleep.
