William Stack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Abbey Cremation Service - Rocky Hill on Mar. 5, 2026.
William (Bill) Stack Jr was born on June 26, 1952 and passed away on February 26, 2026 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital after a long illness.

Bill was predeceased by his loving parents, William (Will) Stack Sr and Mildred (Millie) Stack and is survived by his son, Brandon Stack and his brother Robert Stack.

After his stroke on October 11th, we continuously prayed for his recovery. Obstacle after obstacle he persevered but it was not to be. Many thanks to his family and close friends that kept him in their hearts and prayers.

As a teenager, Bill was good looking, fun loving, charismatic and fearless as he was an actor, a three sport athlete and a romantic.

Significant adversity hit him at 19 years old and the path forward was difficult. It was a battle that only a few really knew. As a mental health worker for 20 years, he proudly gave back to people in need.

Throughout his life, he was insightful and concentrated on the most important people in his life. His son, Brandon, was and will always be his pride and joy. His ex-wife Janet was always there for him. For me, he was simply the best big brother I could have had.

Bill was kind, generous, honest and caring. He was not judgmental nor did he accept being judged. He loved his Harleys and the slopes, with his locks and ZZ Top beard flowing, where judges aren't allowed.

So, in his memory, be kind and call someone who wants to hear your voice (or maybe someone who doesn't).

And when you feel a beautiful summertime breeze, remember Bill

(AKA Cool Breeze) Cool as the Wind Blows!

Bill, we love you and thank you for being you!
