Joshua Randall Smith-Bollum

Joshua Randall Smith-Bollum, known to his loved ones as Josh, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2023, at the age of 35 in River Falls, WI. He was born on September 28, 1988, in Minneapolis, MN. Josh was a compassionate individual who always made time for others and possessed an extraordinary ability to listen. He held a deep passion for equal rights and dedicated himself to helping those in need.

Josh had an infectious sense of humor and possessed a remarkable intellect. He loved wholeheartedly and embraced others with open arms. His curiosity was insatiable, and he never ceased to expand his knowledge. Josh was fearless in his pursuit of life and approached every challenge with unwavering determination. He will be remembered as the kindest person one could ever meet.

Josh leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Bollum, and his father, Randall Smith. He also leaves behind his sisters, Jessica VanBeek (Chet Meyer), Molly Brousseau (Joe Brousseau), and Meaghan Forsyth (Paul Forsyth), as well as nieces, nephews, and countless friends and family members who cherished him dearly.

Preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Signe Smith and Richard and Rita Bollum.

A service to celebrate Josh's life will be held, the details will be shared at a later date.

In honor of Josh's memory, his loved ones kindly request that any charitable donations be made to organizations dedicated to promoting equal rights and assisting those in need.
