Lynn and Glynis Stirling
October 15, 2021
We lost contact with Kay when he sold his home in Las Vegas and moved back to Utah 20 years ago.
He served as executive secretary for 5 years 3 months to Bishop Lynn Stirling in the Francisco Park Ward in Paradise Stake. Lynn was also Kay´s home teacher. We loved visiting Kay in his home every month. He was a fascinating man. He was humble and kind and a delightful conversationalist. And he always shared his testimony of the gospel with us. We missed him when he had to sell his beautiful home on the golf course. Lynn said he was the most efficient and organized exec sec. any bishop could have! No wonder he took such excellent care of Mr. Hughes! We were lucky to have known him! What a wonderful example he was to our ward! May God bless and keep him.

Rest In Peace my friend... Kay was a gentle, kind, and devoted man. Always had a kind and supportive word to say... He will be missed.

Rest in Peace, Kay.
The Mourner’s Hands
The mourner’s hands did bear the bier with tender loving care
Though worn and rough was the wood, the burden he did bear
And in his mind he wondered, why such wood had thus been used
When suddenly the carpenter stood before his view
Now questioned he to that man, “Sir, why troublest thou me?”
“To use a wood so rough and worn for one so loved as he?”
Then in reply the stranger asked, “My son, lovest thou me?”
And then in tears the mourner stood, his Savior he did see
For used the Lord so rough a wood that once had been a cross
For all mankind he hung and died that man would not be lost
And though it were a still-small voice, the Savior he did speak
“I am the resurrection and the life, for all of those that seek”

KG was like a father figure to me, my dad was sick in the icu when I was married and he stood in for my dad. When I was sealed in the temple my father passed away from complications from the surgery and KG stood in as my father in the temple as well. He was a father a friend a uncle and I will always be grateful for everything he did for me, helping me through my life and never judging my decisions. I will always hold his memory close to my hart and never forget him. At the age of 96 we would still slap box and wrestle around and he’d always have the upper hand cause he was quick. Gone but never forgotten I love you KG love Brady
