John E. Pardy, Jr., 77 of Canton, died Monday, December 8 at his home, after a period of failing health. He was the loving son of the late John E. Pardy, Sr. and Claire Pardy. He was the loving husband of the late Gisela Schneemann and the loving father of Cheryl DeBenedictis of Lakeville, Sandra Lorina of NV, Jody DiStefano of Brockton, David Pardy of Berkley and Christina Pardy of Canton. Mr. Pardy was the grandfather of Cori and Kayla DeBenedictis of Lakeville, Dario and Lana Lorina of NV and Jamie and Mia DiStefano of Brockton. He was the brother of Julie Lacorazza and her husband Anthony of Centerville, Gloria Dolan of FL, Robert E. Pardy of Medway and the late Joanne Gullens. He was the loving companion of Patricia Campagone of Whitman and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Born in East Boston, he was raised and educated in East Boston and Roslindale. Mr. Pardy was a resident of Canton for over 45 years. He was a skilled Printer and was the former owner of several printing shops including Roeco in Roslindale and Printall.com and John Pardy Printing, both in Canton. He was a member of the Port Norfolk Yacht Club in Dorchester. John was an avid self-taught woodworker who loved spending time on the ocean. These two traits led to his longtime hobby of restoring his boats. He was the former owner of "The Duchess" and "Eagle 1", two boats he restored with a lot of love, passion and precision. In his free time, he enjoyed oil painting and playing the harmonica and keyboards. John also enjoyed watching birds and wild life, fishing, and scenic drives.

Services will be offered at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton, MA Visiting Hours from 10 AM to 12 Noon, with Prayer Services to begin at 12 Noon. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Assn., 460 Totten Pond Rd., Unit 400, Waltham, MA 02451.
