William Pardy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. - Oneida on Jan. 13, 2026.
William Tracy Pardy, Jr. left this Earthly realm on January 11, 2026. Tracy was baptized Methodist, Presbyterian, and Catholic. He said, "If I don't get to heaven, I want my money back."
The son of the late William Pardy Sr. and Jane Woods, he was born in New City, NY, and grew up in Canastota, NY.
He worked at the old Oneida Hotel as a night desk clerk. After working there, he said he had no questions. He was employed for many years at the DOT in Syracuse, retiring in 2006.
He was a resident for many years at Indianada Farms in Poland, NY. Tracy raised, talked, and read about animals. He was an avid attendee of auctions and collector of antiques. Tracy spent many years at the Family camp 'Ondawa' on Silver Lake in the Adirondacks. Some of his memorable sayings are "poor dog that will not wag its own tail", and "what is your make me take it home this afternoon price".
Survived by his friend, Robert Gadziola, and his last dog, Marlee; as well as nieces, Donna (Jeff DiGeorge), Julie (James Lesher), Tricia, Susan, Christin (Ivan Nosenchuk), and Elaine Pardy; and his brother, Robert Pardy. A special appreciation of the Rine Family. He was predeceased by a special friend, Michael Tracy.
Tracy will be laid to rest with his ancestors who settled the area after the War of Independence, in the East Beekmantown Cemetery, Clinton County, NY. In Tracy's memory, please make a donation to a local animal shelter, foster or adopt a rescue animal. Recite his favorite song, "Danny Boy".
Tracy, "The summer is gone and all the roses are falling It's you, it's you must go and I must bide"

Bill took my dog Marlee for me. He would bring her in to my office to see me. He was just there about 7 months ago with her. Hugs to his family and his life long friend who is taking care of Marlee. He was a great person

Tracy was my stepbrother since his father, William, married by mother, Geraldine Cleary Pardy, in1971. I remember lots of good time at the Pardy family camp on Silver Lake in the Adirondacks. My sympathies go out to Tracy's family and friends. Paul Cleary, Oceanside, CA
