Mark Peeples Obituary

Published by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services - New Haven on Dec. 4, 2015.
Mark S. Peeples, (59) of Hartford, CT departed this life on December 2, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital Burn Unit. He was born on November 23, 1956 in Hartford, CT., to the late Samuel Peeples, Jr. and Joyce Wakefield. Besides his parents Mark was predeceased by his brother Darroyl E. Peeples. Mark was educated in the Hartford Public School System. He honorably served in the United States Army and did a tour in Germany. Mark was currently employed for 27 years with United States Postal Service as a mail handler and was in the process of retiring. He was a member of the Postal Mail Handlers Union. Mark was quiet and soft spoken, never bothered a sole, but loved to have fun with his family and friends and spend lots of money on gigots' and gadgets. He spoke constantly about retiring to Florida and playing golf, even though his sister warned him of all the possible swamp land he might end up purchasing. He loved his two children, Joyce and Tyrone and his only grandson Adonis. His devoted cat has been placed for adoption with a loving family. He leaves behind to mourn his daughter, Sgt. Joyce Peeples of the United States Marine Corp, Lady Island, S.C., son, Tyrone Closs of Torrington, CT, a devoted sister, Dr. Deardrian Benford (aka Sissy) Carver (James) of Chester, VA, grandchild, Adonis Peeples of Lady Island, S.C, a beloved aunt Geneva Woods (David) of Zebulon, GA, special cousins, Stacey Mangham of Rockville, MD, Steve and Tracey Davis, Correll Lee of Hartford and not to mention, a whole host of other close relatives and friends. He will be truly missed by all of his co-workers at the Weston St. main post office in Hartford, CT.
