Billy G. Wingrove

Billy G. Wingrove, 80, of Tampa, passed away on January 21, 2016. He was born in Cresap, WV on November 18, 1935 to Encil and Delphia Wingrove. He moved to Tampa from Hawaii 43 years ago. He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years, and served in various missions around the world, in Africa, Vietnam, and Apollo Moon Mission recovery support team. He is preceded in death by a brother Marion from Ohio and a great grandson; Elijah Wingrove. He is survived by his loving wife Mary; sons, William (Susan), Brian (Tammi), Bradley (Sarah); Grandchildren, Amanda, William, and Meagan Wingrove, Justin (Larissa), and Jeremy Johnson (Kelsy); great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Olivia, and Joshua Wingrove, Hunter, Asher, and Beau Johnson; sisters, Lola Van-Dyne, and Lorna Knight (Harold); brother Elson Wingrove (Betty); and his loving dogs Harvey and Candy. A Visitation for Billy will be held on Monday January 25, 2016 from 10am until 11am, with an 11am Service, and a luncheon to follow at Stonewall Baptist Church, 2717 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33614 with interment to follow at Florida National Veteran Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Billy's name, to the charity of your choice. Brewer and Sons Funeral Home-Tampa Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
