Buddy Gene Gregg - age 69 of Knoxville, TN and Frisco, TX, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, December 30, 2009. He was a member of Church Street United Methodist Church. For over 25 years, he and his wife Carole owned and operated high-end motor home dealerships with locations in Knoxville, TN; Lewisville (Dallas), TX; Lakeland, FL; and Junction City, OR creating friends and loyal customers in all corners of North America. He loved University of Tennessee football, reading, and watching his grandsons play high school football in Texas. Preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Gregg and Myrtle Hathorne Gregg; brothers, John Gregg and Bobby Joe Gregg. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Dorothy Carole Gregg; beloved daughter, Marla Carole Griffitt and her husband Brian Griffitt, Sr.; son, Gregory Gregg; grandchildren, Brian Griffitt II and Aaron Griffitt; brothers, Thomas Gregg of Brandon, MS; sisters, Ruth Ishe of Laurel, MS and Mary Cheatham of Ruston, LA; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Mae Wroten Williams; along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 6, 2010 at Highland Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 from Church Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Jan Buxton-Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions can be made to Mission of Hope, PO Box 51824, Knoxville, TN 37950.
