Viola M. Christensen

BREITUNG TOWNSHIP - Viola M. Christensen, 89, of Breitung Township, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Hyland Nursing Home in Iron Mountain. She was born on Aug. 16, 1918, daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Bray) Moln. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of the American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. She enjoyed doing laundry, hanging clothes, taking walks and dancing. She loved to be around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Viola is survived by a son, John Gasparach of Kingsford; daughters, Mary (Richard) Trecartin of Iron Mountain and Judy (Daniel) Schumacher of Fond du Lac, Wis.; brothers, Stanley (Ernestine) Moln of Gaastra and Archie (Jean) Moln of Milwaukee; a sister in-law, Eunice Moln of Vulcan; nine grandchildren,14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris B. Christensen; a sister, Evelyn Morganroth; a brother, Robert Moln; and a great-granddaughter, Jessica Cowling. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. at the American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family of Viola M.
