Mr. Gus William Leanos

Gus William Leanos, 87, a lifetime resident of Annapolis, died of natural causes February 18 at his home. Gus was born August 28, 1924 in Annapolis, graduated from Annapolis High School, was a Naval veteran of World War II and worked as an A & T phone technician. He was a member of the Annapolis Elks Lodge, Ss Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church and the Annapolis Country Club. He enjoyed golf. He was preceded in death in by his wife Marye K. Leanos, whom he married April 20, 1947 and who died July 5, 1998. He is survived by his daughter Deborah (Robert) Haynes of Plainsboro, NJ; three grandchildren, Jason (Kim) Muir of Annapolis, Justin (Aura) Muir and Cecile Haynes of Plainsboro, NJ; and one great-grandchild, Danna Vargas of Robbinsville, NJ. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m.and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday February 21 at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Inc., 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis where a Trisagion service will be held at 7 p.m. A funeral will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Rd., Annapolis. Interment St. Demetrios Cemetery.
