David Charles Beattie, 61 of Parsonsburg, passed away at his home Friday, March 1, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born in Philadelphia, and attended Haverford High School – graduate of 1969 and from Philadelphia School of Pharmacy, 1974. He was staff pharmacist at Millville Hospital, Millville, NJ until 1994. After moving to Eastern Shore he worked at Peninsula Regional Medical Center until 2011; pharmacy department. Son of the late David C. Beattie, Havertown, PA; he is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his mother, Virginia Beattie of Stone Harbor, NJ, daughter, Michelle Beattie of Williamstown, NJ; by marriage stepson, John Reynolds and wife, Lori of Vineland, NJ, two stepdaughters, Gina Davis and husband, Bruce of Millville, NJ, and Dawn Reynolds of Vineland , NJ; five grandsons, Phillip Allen, Casey Jones, and Ian, Zackarey and Jason Reynolds; one great-grandson, Phillip Allen, Jr. He was a member of the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. His hobbies included photography, listening to music and playing his guitar, and model railroading. He was a Member of Delmarva Model Railroad club. Memorial service will be held at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, 31353 Mt. Hermon Road, Salisbury, MD on Saturday, March 9th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church or to Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute, 100 E. Carroll St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
