North Smithfield, RI'William M. 'Billy' Wozniak 48, of North Smithfield, and a former Franklin resident died suddenly, Friday November 28, 2008 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket shortly after his arrival. Born December 10, 1959 in Buffalo, NY, a son of Donald E. Wozniak of Bellingham and Gertrude C. (Vogt) Wozniak of Holliston, he had lived in Franklin and Bellingham for many years before moving to North Smithfield. He was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Blackstone Valley Technical High School in Upton class of 1978. Mr. Wozniak served in the United States Air Force and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. For more than 25 years he was the owner and operator of Bill's Kitchen & Bath. He was a former member of the Bellingham Planning Board and the Bellingham Business Association and was a member of the Blackstone Valley Harley Davidson Owners Club. His interests included riding his motorcycle and spending time on his boat. In addition to his parents he is survived by two daughters Rebecca Wozniak and Jessie Wozniak both of Swansea, two brothers Atty. John Wozniak of Blackstone and Donald E. Wozniak II of South Boston, and a sister Donna Marie Griffiths of Franklin. He was the brother of the late Roger T. Wozniak. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday December 3, 2008 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday December 2, 2008 from 4-8PM. If desired donations in his memory sent to the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley 51 Sleeper St. Boston, MA 02210 would be appreciated.
