Steve DeConti, 91, a native and life long resident of Laselle St., New Britain died Thursday January, 20, 2005 at home after a short illness. He goes to join his wife Helen Likwala DeConte and infant daughter Mary. He was born on Oct. 23, 1913 at 118 Laselle St., the third child of Joseph and Rose DeConti. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of World War II. Steve was a welder by trade from Local 40 and worked for various firms before his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Marchigian Society, the New Britain Seniors, and the Hospital for Special Care, pulmonary group. He leaves his daughter and caregiver Kathleen DeConti-Agostinucci. The light of his life grandchildren Stephen Agostinucci and his wife Traci Hillebrecht, of Ellington and Timothy Agostinucci and his companion Jacqueline Paul. He also leaves the two apples of his eye great granddaughters Emma Milikowski and Haley Agostinucci. He also leaves two nephews and their families Mr. and Mrs. Phillip DiMinno, of Stafford Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Richard DiMinno, of Kensington. He was predeceased by a brother John DeConti and two sisters Rose Buscine and Florence DiMinno. His family wishes to thank Vivian for all her loving care and help with Steve. His funeral service will be held Tuesday 8:30 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. Interment with military honors will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday from 2:00 ' 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 ' 8:00 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
