John Woods

John Woods, 30, of Cromwell, died on Sunday, March 28, 2004. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Salafia Woods. John was a life long Newington resident before recently moving to Cromwell. John loved to hunt, fish and especially enjoyed spending time on his property in Vermont. He also leaves his mother, Gloria Martin Woods, of Newport, RI; his father, Stephen Woods and his wife, Mary, of Newington; his brother Dana Woods and Maura Jones, of Newington; his sister, Tessa Woods, of Newington; his maternal grandparents, Real Martin, of New Britain and Lucille Martin, of Parkman, ME; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Theresa Woods, of Newington; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was pre-deceased by his two uncles, Kenneth Martin and William Woods. His funeral services will be held Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ, Congregational, 1075 Main St., Newington with the Rev. Kenneth C. Brookes officiating. Interment will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
