John J. Agata, 94, passed away May 29, 2012 at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Lawrence, MA he was the son of the late Ignazio and Rosalie (Zingali) D'Agata.

John was a retired member of the Laborers' Local 175.  

John loved spending time at Salisbury beach, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially going on walks and riding his bike to Hampton beach.  An avid sportsman, John loved the New York Yankees.  He enjoyed playing cards, especially Gin Rummy.

He was predeceased by his wife Adeline (DeMarco) D'Agata and his son John A. D'Agata.  Survivors include his daughter Rosalie Marino and her husband Joseph of Hutchinson Island, FL; Daughter-in-law Donna Mae D'Agata of Salem, NH; one sister Dorothy Fisichelli of Port St. Lucie, FL; five grandchildren Joseph Marino and his wife Maureen, Karen Marino Green, Shauna D'Agata and her husband Jack Woodruff, Dawn D'Agata, John D'Agata and his wife Melanie; five great grandchildren Lexi, Michael, Alex, Joseph and Madeline; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.  His funeral will begin on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Church in Haverhill.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Haverhill.
