Dale Arthur "Luke" Young

Dale Arthur "Luke" Young, 54, joined his brother, Gary Wayne Neal in heaven on March 23, 2014. He will be dearly missed but will always be in our hearts forever. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that loved him. Born December 3, 1959, Luke was the first son of Arlene Neal. He enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved the most, bringing his mom a newspaper on Sundays and working in the garage with his best friend, Chris Thaxton. Luke worked at Tincher and Midtown dental labs for many years until his retirement. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved mother and stepfather, Arlene Neal and Danny Burdette; Juanita and Tootsie Thaxton, whom he loved as his own mother and father; and siblings, Mike, Bub, Daniel, Kate, Hassie, Jenny and Mary Lou. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors. The family would like to extend its gratitude to the kind and caring friends of Luke including Lionel and Robin Slater and Dana Slater. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston.
