Todd Allan Ketchum of Newton, MA and Tunbridge, VT passed away in Tunbridge on Aug 28 at the age of 48. He is survived by his wife, Laura Tobin Ketchum and his sons, Sam (18), Toby (15), and Nevin (14). He was born on Mar 17, 1966 in Arlington, MA, the son of Carl Ketchum of Larchmont, New York and Beverly Graffam Ketchum of Lady Lake, Florida. He is also survived by his brother Andy Ketchum of Camarillo, California, his sister Laura Lynn Ketchum of Scarborough, Maine, and six nephews and two nieces. A graduate of Bangor High School and the University of Maine, Todd began his career working with finance companies and quickly graduated to computer systems. He was founder, owner and CEO of Agility Partners, a computer consulting company in Framingham, MA. He lived a very active life traveling the world with his family on many adventures including windsurfing, hunting, skiing, and fishing. Todd was diagnosed with ALS in 2010. He and friends created the Ketchum Classic that raised almost $0.5M for ALS research at ALS TDI and the MDA. Recently he took great pleasure watching his friends, family, caregivers, and many, many others participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. He has finally escaped the bonds of ALS and his spirit is now walking, talking and laughing again. There will be a wake on Tues, Sept 2, from 5 to 8 pm at Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton, MA. On Wed there will be a memorial service for Todd at Sacred Heart Church, 1321 Centre St. Newton, MA at 10:30 with a reception to follow at the Longwood Cricket Club, 564 Hammond St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made towards ALS research at ALS/TDI (http://www.als.net) or to the MDA (http://mda.org/office/massachusetts).

This is difficult. We were friends in high school. What do you say when a person, you thought was nearly perfect dies? How can that be fair? I recall Todd had an inner strength others did not. No bravado, but is was evident he had something inside that made him strong and kind in one being.

R.I.P Todd. You were a great friend in High School and a great person. I never met your family as the winds blew us in different directions after graduation, but my heart aches for them. May God bless them and help them through this time.

Dear Laura, Sam, Nevin, Toby, Carl, Lorraine, Bev, Andy, and sister Laura, I am so honored to have known Todd as a good friend for so many years. I remember first meeting him when he was 13 years old. From that time on, in high school, college, summers at the Asticou, and as a proud Dad and husband, every time I saw him, he had a smile on his face, even when he was facing the challenges of ALS. He holds a huge place in my heart, along with all of you. I enjoyed seeing you all at the Walk for Todd last year. Todd was always kind to everyone. He was genuinely happy and loved life. He was a wonderful friend and I will miss him so much.

I had the pleasure of working with Todd and Agility Partners while working at Cabot Corp on many projects. A highlight of working with Todd was the annual fishing excursion out of Falmouth harbor in pursuit of stipers and blues. My best wishes to Laura and the boys. Todd led an awesome life and left a wonderful legacy. My heartfelt wishes to the family and friends.
