As God walked through His garden on Monday evening, February 9, 2015 at 9:40p.m., He found a beautiful rose, fully grown, blossomed and ready to be plucked. Deirdre Christie quietly, sweetly and peacefully started her heavenly soar – "To be absent in the flesh is to be present with the Lord." Deirdre Christie was born June 26, 1969 in Hartford, CT. She is the daughter of Cheryl Harold, Rufus Shepard (her dad) and James Biggins, Jr. (her father). She was one of the sweetest and dearest persons to set foot on God's earth. Her family came first in her life. She was a devoted and loving daughter; a God-given mother; the best sister; a guiding light for all the family; an outstanding teacher, counselor and friend. She was a wise and strong woman; A perfect lovely lady and beautiful in every sense of the word. Her love reached out and touched everyone hearts she met. She loved life, even when she went blind, going thought dialysis and in/out of the hospital she embraced life and joy was in her voice to others. She taught love, wisdom, peace and understanding. Cherishing her life and memory are her sons: Joson L. Harold and Kalvin L. Ratliff; one brother, James A. Biggins III, sister-in-law Shante Biggins; special sister in life; Mary Gaynor; two daughter-in-laws; Sade R. Harold and Mya Ratliff; two granddaughters, Mya Wilson and Janiya McElveen; her very special and devoted friend, Brain Williams; her nieces; Mamie, D'Asia and Naomi Biggins; her nephews James and Nasir Biggins, and her great nephew and niece Elijah Biggins and Jacera White. Her aunts Elizabeth and Gladys Riggs; Her uncle Clarence Harold; her great Aunts, Naomi McFadden and Minnie Williams both of New Jersey; her great uncle Woodson (Charles)William and host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
