John Carangelo

Watertown - Mr. John Carangelo, age 71 of Watertown, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 5, 2015 at Village Green Rehabilitation in Bristol, CT. Mr. Carangelo was born in Waterbury on February 25, 1944 a son to the late Ben and Margaret (Aldi) Carangelo. Mr. Carangelo proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War acheiving the rank of Sergeant. He attended St. Mary's School, was a graduate of Crosby High School and Post University and was employed by the State of Connecticut in various positions through out his career. He was a lifelong Yankees Fan and enjoyed gardening and reading. Mr. Carangelo is survived by a sister Ann O'Brien, brother in law; Lawrence O'Brien, Sr., one nephew:; Lawrence O'Brien, Jr., two nieces; Lauren O'Brien and Kelly O'Brien both of Waterbury, two Grand Nephews; Wil and Lawrence III and also family in New York State. Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
