Joseph John Nelson

Joseph John Nelson, 63, died peacefully on Saturday July 4, 2015 at St. Monica's Manor. He was born and raised in SouthWest Philadelphia. Joe is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Nelson (D'Orsaneo); his only daughter Elizabeth Vecere (Nelson) and her husband Eugene Vecere Jr; his three sisters Betsy (Bill) Mulligan, Arlene (Nacho) Perez and Sharyn (late-Ed) Donohue; four sister-in-laws, three brother-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. A viewing and mass will be held at St. Monica's Church on Thursday, July, 9, 2015. The church is located at 2422 S. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19145. A viewing at the church for friends and family will be held from 10:00am-10:45am. Mass immediately following the viewing at 11:00am. There will be a private burial at the cemetery after the mass, FAMILY ONLY. The burial will take place at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery (1600 S. Sproul Rd. Springfield, PA 19064). In lieu of flowers, the family would like Mass cards or donations, which can be brought to the church or mailed to 1823 Daly Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19145.
