Renee Fares Obituary

Published by Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills on Jun. 8, 2016.
Los Angeles, CA – Renee Ellen Fares, 47, went to be with the Lord on June 8th at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank California, in the year of our Lord 2016. She was born in Richmond, Indiana, on July 7, 1968, and was residing in Sherman Oaks, California. California arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California. Indiana arrangements are under the direction of Doan and Mills, Richmond, Indiana. Renee was a faithful Christian, and through her radiant smile, you could see she had a light inside her. She was an incredibly generous, giving, and thoughtful person who cared deeply for her family and friends. At any opportunity that she had, she was there to lend a helping hand. Renee was one of those people who would instantly connect with anyone who she met. She had a genuine concern for everyone. She had so many friends….not just acquaintances, but very close friends who really cared about her. Renee enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to host parties which were enjoyed by so many people. She always opened her home and her heart to anyone in need. She loved synth-pop, electronic, progressive house, and eighties music, and she enjoyed dancing and supporting live band performances. Renee loved to travel, and had visited many countries. She was preparing for a trip to Croatia, and to The Netherlands, a country that she loved and considered her European home. Renee loved her family. She was always making plans for her family to visit her in Los Angeles, and she was the ultimate tour guide. She had just hosted several cousins who had visited recently. When her mom was alive, Renee arranged several vacations with her. She loved to travel abroad with her twin sister, Tina. Renee was an optimistic, positive person. She never complained. When faced with a challenge, she saw it as a project to tackle. She turned adversity into prosperity. She was a role model for us all. One of Renee's favorite versus was Philippians 4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Renee lived her life according to this verse. She was pure, honest, and lovely. Renee was successful and valued in her 17 year career at Warner Music Group. She loved working in the entertainment industry, and she contributed to many projects in her Product Manager Role, including the implementation of the Tour Manager Mobile Application which was a project she was passionate about. And true to Renee form, she and her team rolled it out a month early with even more functionality than originally promised. Her last project that she was working on was the royalty system, which she was so excited to be a part of. Renee was so admired, loved, and respected at work that Warner Music Group closed their Los Angeles and New York City offices the day after she passed to honor Renee. Her colleagues built a tribute for her in the lobby with flowers, pictures, and letters. She was deeply loved. Renee's favorite holiday was Halloween. She loved dressing up and attending fun events. She was always the life of the party, and she introduced so many of her friends to other friends. She was the center and the glue that held everyone together. There is an outpouring of posts, messages, and pictures on Facebook honoring Renee. Renee attended Church on the Way, and she was extremely charitable of her time and finances. Renee graduated from Taylor University in Upland Indiana with a Bachelors Degree in Business with a minor in Economics. She worked for Ernst and Young in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles, California, which was her dream. Renee was a California girl! She loved the big city, the ocean, and the entertainment vibe in Los Angeles. Renee had just rescued a dog named Chance, and she loved him deeply. She provided a warm, loving home for him….and she would introduce him as "her new man". Tina Fares wants to extend her most sincere, deepest gratitude for all of Renee's family and friends who were always helpful to Renee. Renee is preceded in death by her mom, Sally Fares, grandparents Ray and Mildred Raper, and Uncle Tom Raper. Renee's survivors are her twin sister, Tina Fares, her Aunts Nancy Brookbank and Suzanne Raper, and several cousins.

So Sad to here the news. Dated Renee in mid 90s and had a blast clubbing all the time and getting to know such a dear, sweet, and deeply caring, fun-luving person. Her SMILE was the 1st thing I noticed as very eye-catching & never phony. To hear the extremely sad news on the same day as her 50th bday was sooo suriel that it completly devastated me. Renee, even though we dated for 6 months & knew u for a couple of yrs, I only recall all the great times we had, and I will cherish those moments forever.
With the D.N.A. That made Renee Fares the beautiful Diamond we all loved so much, its no wonder she had so many loved ones who cherish knowing her. I did.

Oh my God.
I just found out moments ago that Renee passed away about two months ago.
I am shocked and in tears.
I have known her since 2001 and every time I saw her she was so happy, lots of positive energy, we talked and shared a lot about our families.
Even one time when she was in my office for her dental treatment, I purchased a few baskets of strawberries and share it with her and she was shocked and thankful.
Every time she came for her dental visits we would talk extensively and try to catch up with what has happened in our lives between her dental visits and I know that she was planning to go to Croatia and Netherlands this summer.
She was always smiled and her presence brought the best out of you.
It is sad to find out the she is gone and she was actually due to come in today for her appointment today and when we got the call from her twin sister "Tina"......
I can never forget her laughs, her smiles, she was such pure and happy human being. If everyone on the face of the earth was like her, the earth would have been the Heaven that we all want to see.
I am so shocked and speechless and I wish I knew a head of time so that I could attend her funeral and memorial.
Please let me know about her favorite charity so that we can make a donation in her memory. With your permission I would like to visit the cemetery and say some prayers.
With loving memories
Behzad Shirazi, DDS and Staff at S. C. Dental Care.

Being that part of the family (aunt Mina, uncle Peter, tante Mimi) who live overseas, we were not fortunate enough to see Renee as often as those who lived closer by. But when we got to see the twins every so often when they came to Europe, we made the most of it and enjoyed and treasured every minute that we spent together. We so admired my nieces' vitality, curiosity for life, and their irrepressible joie de vivre. Renee lived life as it should be lived: to the fullest. She enjoyed every gift that life had to offer, whether big or small. She worked hard and laughed hard and left no regrets. Our dearest Renee, you will be so tremendously missed!

I cannot believe you have passed... Renee Deejay, my sweet and dear friend, you were one of the most special spirits I was lucky enough to have in my life. You genuinely always reminded us of rainbows, in even the worst of storms. I thank you for every tear you dried from my cheeks, I thank you for every smile you drew from my face and every giggle and laughter you provided me with. Thank you so much for all of your love and support throughout the years. I wish I could have known that God was going to call you home on Wednesday, June 8, 2016... I would have hugged you until the end. Told you over and over how much I loved you and how lucky every single one of us had been to have your friendship... We will miss you forever my darling. You truly are one of the losses that will persist a strong ache in my heart...
I love you, I love you, I love you.

I am so blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing you. You were the reason for Tanya and chuck being together which in return we now have Erik. That's only one story. I imagine there are more. I am sad that God has taken you but rejoice that you are in a better place. Every experience I had with you was positive and I do believe I am a better person for knowing you. I will try my hardest to find Chance a home. Until we meet again love you lots.

It's extremely sad and shocking to hear about sudden demise of one the most lovely and vibrant persons I have ever known. I interacted with her over mails and calls during requirement gathering sessions for an IT application she was handling from business side and I was handling from IT side. A lot of our colleagues still remember our detailed requirements discussions over mails since they were so detail oriented beyond anyone's belief. She was so happy to see when I went to US and was ever so warm and elated to see me. Renee will always remain in my memory as someone from whom I have learnt a lot both professionally and personally. My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends and hope God gives them courage to cope up with this loss.

As sci-fi as this may sound all I can think of is I could only be there when you fell ill, and somehow give you extra magical life energy to make it into the surgery and be with us today. May you eternally enjoy in the presence of our God.
