Aubert 'Al' Shellhammer

Aubert R. 'Al' Shellhammer, age 82 of Lima, died at 6:20 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at home. He was born April 26, 1934 in Pennsylvania to the late Hobert and Mildred Shellhammer. On May 24, 1951 he married JoAnn M. Rosenstelle who preceeded him in death on June 23, 2014. Mr. Shellhammer retired from Tuttle Construction. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #691 of Wapakoneta; Lima Moose Lodge #199, and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 of Toledo. He is survived by a son - Rick (Julie) Shellhammer of Lima; 2 daughters - Cande Shellhammer of Lima; Renee (Jeffrey) Hicks of Florida; 4 grandchildren - Tersa Freeman, Denean (Billy) Harbin, Steven (Misty) Shellhammer, and Misty (Frank) Caprilla; 2 step grandchildren - James Ezzell III and Billie Jo Walace; 8 great grandchildren - Nicholas Maples, Billy Ray Harbin, Carsen Harbin, Steven Shellhammer, Tyler Shellhammer, Madison Shellhammer, Benjamin Caprilla, and Evelyn Caprilla; a great great grandson - Anthony J. Maples. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
