Williamson/Newark—Carolyn Hubbard, 75, died Wednesday (November 16, 2016) at The Shore Winds Nursing Home in Rochester.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM on Sunday (November 20th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark where funeral services will follow at 4 PM with Rev. Carlos Smith officiating. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Memorials, in her name, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, New York 14620.
Carolyn was born January 21, 1941 in Hudson, Michigan, the daughter of late Arnold and Lilah Schrag Coman. She graduated high school in Waldron , Michigan in 1959 and Houghton College in 1963 with a degree in teaching. Carolyn taught several years in the Geneva and Webster School Districts before becoming a full time mom, raising her two sons.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James of Williamson, two sons Jeffrey of Williamson and Jonathan (Hilary) of Colorado; three grandchildren Nicholas, Amber and Elbe; sisters Betty (Walter) Wagner of VA, Shirley Conner of NC, Bonnie (David) Brinckerhoff of Avoca, NY; brother Robert (Barbara) Coman of NC; several nieces and nephews.
