Bob Webb

Callie's mother and my grandfather grew up together in the same ARNOLD household as step-brother and sister. We are currently working on family history and genealogy, and we would love to connect with anyone in your family who is interested and either is or wants to be involved in filling our more details of their lives in Oktibbeha County, MS. As a side note, my father was born in Anderson, SC and was a Clemson graduate. That is a beautiful tribute you wrote for Callie, by the way. Kind regards, Bob Webb (Marvin Merritte HIGH's grandson).

I was sorry to read about this--she was so important in the lives of my girls, a wonderful neighbor (and also the mother of our first babysitter in Clemson.) My sympathy to all the family.

We have known Callie for many years. She and Ruby Elrod were mistaken for each other many time. I felt honored to be called "Callie". She lived only a short distance from us on Hickory Way at the Clemson Downs.

Whenever an old member of the Clemson Forestry Department (or spouse) slips away, I reflect upon the group that served under Dr. Lehotsky in the corner of the P&A bldg. They were a collection of some fine folks that steered and nurtured the fledging Department into a huge asset the State of SC and community of agrarians. God bless all family members.
