My brother Tom and I spent many fun hours with Buddy and Eddie growing up on Bartlett St. Eddie was always a helpful, positive and enjoyable person to have in our neighborhood group. I can see from reading other memorials that he stayed that way throughout his life. Thisis no surprise, given his family and values. Tom and I will remember Eddie in our prayers. Jim OHare

To the Donohue Family,

So sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Our family will always remember him as a great friend to our dad. They had a lot of good times together - both on the job and off. Elvis/Bugsy as he was known to us was also a great friend to our mom after dad's passing. We will always remember Eddie and will keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

My mother being Flossie, I remember Ed and family when I was a kid, a few years younger then he was. Through the years I would meet him occasionally here and there for a few minutes of conversation. Always ready with a smile and talk. Ran into Rick Smith a few years ago on the Cape and when I mentioned Lowell as my previous home, he mentioned his Uncle Ed was a fireman there. The world got smaller as I realized that his uncle and family were my mothers cousins and I had known Ed for years. So sorry to hear Ed was ill and now has passed on. May he rest in peace and add a few laughs when he gets there.
