I am so sorry for your loss. SGT Major was a great teacher during my time at Bryan High and 4 years in JROTC. He was a great man. My deepest sympathies.

Rest in Peace, John. We met during (and after) Spike's own battle with cancer. I had no idea you had such a long military career! It comforts me that Karen is in the arms of your big beautiful family. We are proud of you, John, of your quiet strength, your service to our country, your many accomplishments, and of the fine family you have raised. With respect and affection, the Kokindas

John (Spike): I am so saddened to learn of the passing of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Amy, your children and your extended family as you deal with the loss of such a dynamic man. May God's Healing Arms wrap around you, your mom and your family to ease the burden of your grief in the days ahead.

We are so blessed to have known John, Karen and their wonderful family. I'm at a loss for words - cancer is how we met and I never suspected it would be how we would say goodbye. We are so sorry to hear of John's passing. Karen, Spike, Amy and all the family are in our prayers. Peace be with you and while we can't be there with you in person, we are thinking and praying for you in spirit.
