Vincent Morton Obituary

Published by Ames Funeral Home, Inc. on Jun. 30, 2020.
Vincent Eric Morton, man of God, avid hunter, jack of all trades, distinguished deacon, and family man, got on board the gospel train to Glory on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the age of 57. Survived in death by his wife, Constance, his parents, Odia and Jerline, and his brother, Reginald (Maria, children: Mariah, Reginald Jr., Robert). Loving father of Ryan (Michael) Tillman, Rachel (Michael) Chambers, Rosetta, Raymond, Russell and Robin. Proud grandfather of Mason, Kellan, Evan, and Myles. Champion Uncle, Cousin, and Coach to a host of loved ones. Vince will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a man committed to his Lord, his family, and his work. A dedicated Cowboys fan that was ironically born in the nation's capital, but his heart has and always will reside in Catlett, Va. He had a strong, quiet, giant spirit and led by example for all around him. He was never one to say goodbye, since he knew everything would work out alright in the end. Not enough can be said about Vince. Unfortunately I only knew him as an employee but we recently recognized him for an awesome snow storm community effort that Vince and his family displayed, helping their neighbors and other drivers make it through some treacherous road conditions. I've also learned other things about him that I did not know about and made me realize how much of an awesome and well respected person he was on several different levels. Ms. Morton and family, please accept my sincerest condolences on your loss of such an awesome person. John Windley, PWCS.

My sincere condolences to you dear cousin and family! I love you and cherish you; wish I could hug you!! When the two become one flesh; they are never separated. With all the life that is shared; grace given; and mercy applied...how could they be? May the Lord bless you and keep; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."
