Daniel Allen Weitzel, age 78, of North Royalton, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years Marilyn Lee Weitzel (nee Hupp); his loving daughters Beth Kesler (Mark), and Deborah Weitzel; his dear granddaughter Abigail Kesler; his step-children Laura Sue Jones and Edgar Demastus; step-grandchildren Dante Jones and Megan Harper; step-great-grandson Dierre Camden Logan; and his cherished brother Robert Weitzel (Kathy). Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Howard J. Weitzel and Lillian D. (nee Morrison) Weitzel; his brother Thomas Weitzel (Shirley, living); and his step-son Brock Riley Demastus. Daniel was born in Lakewood, Ohio, and earned a Master's Degree in History from the University of Akron. He taught as a substitute teacher in the Akron Schools, and also worked as an insurance agent. Private family funeral services will be held with private interment at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio.
