So sorry to hear of your loss! I just recently found out and felt I needed to send our condolences from AZ.
Our Dad, Matt Ferketich, and Joe were childhood and lifelong friends . They grew up together in Philadelphia and joined the Navy together, both going into submarines. When my folks got married in 1965. , Joe was asked to be the BEST man. He broke his leg before the upcoming wedding and he went to my Dad and asked him if he still wanted him in the ceremony. My Dad s reply was short and sweet hell yes , why wouldn't I My father spoke highly of Joe always and I have many memories of him as a young child in the 70 s. Karate Joe was always fun to have around and the Ferketich family will miss him.
If my Dad were able, I know he would love to add to this , but I m writing this for him as a tribute to a long time friend who my father cared about and spent much of his young years hanging out with!!
God Bless you all

So very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I worked with him at Wal-Mart. He was always very nice and thoughtful.
