Grandma,
I only got to spend a few years towards the end of your time on earth with you but those years were wonderful. How you made me laugh so much. The TV shows we watched together, the games we played, our short strolls around the living room and our little gists here and there. I didn't know scratchers were fun until you. You and I were partners until everyone came home at the end of work and you fried the sweetest puffpuff I have ever had and taught me how to fry them too. Though you are no longer with us physically, your smiling face and our times together remains in my memory. Rest well on God's bosom, till we meet to part no more. Adieu grandma.

Hi Grandma! I love and miss you so so much. You were always so kind and your voice so gentle and comforting. I used to save your voicemails and listen to you say: “Lola; how are you my dear? This is your grandma; call me back! I love you!” You always called me “Ah Lolly Pop” when I saw you & that always made me smile. You meant the world to all of us. It saddens me not having you here with us any more, but I know you are in a much better place. I think of you often & will hold on tight to the memories. Love you dearly.

Mummy was my 2nd mom. My testimony is one that, I can never forget in my life. When my mother got sick was in the hospital for almost a year, this wonderful mom, took over as our mom. She never allowed my dad or us children to miss the presence of my mom, by willingly taking care of me and my siblings. When I see her, the joy she emulated, is the same as if I was visiting my own mother. We had a very close relationship that, she referred to me as Adedoyin Omoba. It's as if, the last I saw her in September, was God preparing me for her exit from this world. I will always cherish the moments that I spent with her. I know that she is resting in heaven and I thank God for her life. I wish for her to continue to rest in heaven and in peace, Love Doyin and Sheyi!!

Hi Grandma!
It’s me, your “Gentleman”! Still coming to terms that I will never get to hear you call me that anymore. God blessed us with your presence for 87 wonderful years and somehow it still feels like you left us too soon! I thank God that you’re no longer in pain and in a better place!
You are loved by many and that’s evident by the number of people affected by your passing. We love you dearly and we’re going to miss you tremendously. I’m going to miss that beautiful smile of yours that could light up any room and your signature laugh! May you Rest In Peace Grandma..

Mummy,
You are gone but will never be forgotten. We missed your motherly advice, the candid conversations and the arrival calls you made telling us you have arrived from Nigeria.
Mummy we love you, but Jesus loves you more. Till we meet again on resurrection day. Rest very well in peace.

Dear Mummy - Mama Gbogbo Wa,
You were a great mother to us and grandmother to our children. I remember you bringing arithmetic excercise books and other educational materials from Nigeria for the children to learn how to read and write. Thank you for your impressionable care, love and afection in those early years!
Mummy, you lived a great life and left an idelible mark in this world. We know you are at peace as you take your final resting place in the bosom of the lord. We miss you and know you are an angel now smiling down upon us. Sun Re O!

Auntie Biola was love and generosity personified. A floodgate of wonderful memories comes back to me when I think about my dear auntie. Growing up, any outing with my dad was fun if it concluded with a visit to Fola Agoro to see auntie. I enjoyed seeing my cousins but I was always super excited to see auntie because I knew that my brother and I would be showered with love (food) and attention.
We would find auntie seated at her store. Once she caught sight of our car, she would leap up and come running to say hello. On the menu would be whatever we fancied, even if she had to make it from scratch. A large plate of rice, half-filled with all the beef I could eat. There was no denying she loved us. Her dedication didn’t wane when my dad, her brother and her best friend in my opinion, passed on. She visited us repeatedly at Anthony Village.
I could count on seeing her bright and early on a Sunday morning with cousin Bose, armed with flour, sugar and palm wine. She would make puff-puffs from scratch for us to enjoy as we watch Gboromiro, one of her favorite programs on television. Yes no doubt about it, My auntie was LOVE personified.

I remember her as my vivacious aunt with a heart full of fun and love.
She was a delight to be around and had a zest for life. She was an aunt who loved like a mother and I called her Mummy.
She was the epitome of humility, she got on well with whoever she met and treated everyone with respect.
Her house was an open house, all welcomed to visit or stay. Whether she was expecting you or you turned up unannounced, there was always a place at her table for a delicious meal, drink, and a chat.
She was extremely generous, you could not visit her without leaving with a full tummy and a gift bag. She was always willing to give and share all that she had, no matter how little.
Mummy was an excellent cook; one thing you could be sure of was there would always be cooked rice. Everyone close to her will know her early morning routine of always having a pot of rice cooking on the stove whilst she had a shower. She loved rice and ate it every day; occasionally washed down with Guinness.
Her faith was important to her. Her day started and ended with devotions and the rest of the day reading the bible and praying. Whenever I saw her or called her, she would always finish the conversation with prayers for me and my family.
She was an incredible sister, mother, wife, and aunt. She lived her life in love and faith. Thank you for the many good times, tons of laughter, and fascinating stories. You will be missed by the many lives you have touched.
Your last words to me were 'I love you'.
Rest in perfect peace, mummy.

Hi Grandma!
It's me Kekere! I'm here with Achy, my mom and your great grandson - baby Ral. And I think to myself, how much I am eager to help him learn how to read, to write letters clearly, to love him unconditionally, sincerely and completely; to drink gari with him, and to spend time enjoying God's blessings. I remember this so vividly grandma, because I see and think of you in all of these moments. I am infinitely grateful to God that he allowed you to come back to America after I graduated from college, so that I was able spend time with you again while I spent time at home. I wish that I would have had more time, but I know that wish is in vain. The best and most peaceful place for you to be is where you are now. I thank God for the peace that I know it is true. And here, I will continue to thank God for all of your blessings - my mom, Aunty Vicki, Uncle Gbenga and Uncle Shalewa. I thank God that you are love and you are loved. Your graciousness, selflessness, laugh and your voice when you said "hello my dear", still gives me peace. I miss you grandma, and I will take care of all the blessings that you left us with until we see you again.

Our children remembered everything you thought them and they were happy that you saw a little of it. You were a mother, grandmother and we are forever thankful to have known you.

Tribute to my lovely, darling Aunty and mummy Mrs A. A.Olayinka.
Some of us called her Momi, some Aya Olayinka and others mummy Jossie. Mummy, a perfect and wonderful woman who loved her creator very dearly. She was kind, hardworking, a giver, charitable, a doctor (who does wonders with hot water) and never a dull moment with her. As a wife, she was very patient, loving and persevered. As a mother she accommodated all has her children including in-laws, neighbors and Ikoto indigenes. As a friend, was loved by all. I remember when I was in the boarding school, the moment my hands itch (lol), it was certain that I received cash from my amazing aunty days after. A humble and noble character that made one of her nieces once say "Oh Aunty! your behavior is like God". Mummy thank you for the peace, kindness, love shown to all while on earth. You will be greatly missed.
May your soul rest in peace. O digba! Ose ma!

Mummy Folagoro, the news of your sudden departure still seems untrue to me. You are gone too soon as far as I am concerned. Thank you, Ma, for been an amazing grandma to me. My cooking tutor, the woman who taught me how to write beautifully {even my boss and colleagues acknowledge that}, also very prayerful and I realized that because having scholarship in the university was a result of your consistent confessions over us during our morning devotions, very neat and timely.
There were so many things I learned from you growing up that some have become principles I live by and would pass to our children. A kind and selfless giver you were, I remember asking you one day -why do you do these amazing things, and you responded-It’s not for me, ki awon omo wa no ri alanu.
I write this with a heavy heart because its hard to believe I will not hear Yewandus in your voice anymore. Thank you Ma for you have been a blessing to me from cradle (and my family as a whole),I will never stop imagining from the stories you told me, how you will tie me to your back as a baby to your shop downstairs in Folagoro and you talk about people that surrounded you then{Baba Hyde park, Mama Chinyere,48 Freeman street etc.}.
It’s a privilege with unforgettable experiences living with you Ma.
Adieu Mummy Folagoro! Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord.

Darling Mom, my heart aches for what it has loved and lost.
Your voice and laughter echoes in the beautiful memories I hold dear.
Your heart was so kind and pure. Your warm smile and comforting words
make the life you lived so treasured in beautiful ways.
You are special beyond compare.
For me, no amount of time or words can heal the wound in my heart.
Not a day goes by without a thought of you.
My only consolation is that you are there with dad!
Eternal rest is mandated for both of you. I am forever grateful
that you were my parents.
Thank you for everything.
You are - Forever in my heart! Until we meet again.

Mummy, I still cannot believe that you are gone. You were a wonderful mother and grandmother. You helped raised my kids and will always be grateful for that. The fact that during your visits, you remembered each and everyone of your adopted sons and daughters and bring us gifts from Nigeria. Your hospitality when I visits you in Nigeria was memorable. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. You will be missed mummy.

A virtuous woman, very gentle and full of life. Our mommy was very caring, loving, and always ready to take on any task.
Not only did she nurture us to adulthood, we were also privileged to have her take care of her grandchildren & their friends.
Mommy, thanks are in no measure to you for all that you did for us.
Please know that everything I am today is all because of you.
And, if I am half the woman you were, in my lifetime, I will consider myself blessed .
Rest on, mommy, you are forever in our hearts.
