Libby and family, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved husband and father. He was noted by all and respected for always trying to help anyone who asked. Rich was a kind, gentle soul with a sense of humor and a wonderful family man. We were both born into the Ironbound section of Newark and grew up as classmates in the Union School system. Our grandmothers Elvira Galante and Anna Colasurdo were friends. Being his friend was just like being family. Sure glad Richie was a part of my youth and our paths crossed often as adults in town as well. When I saw Rich in town, I was always greeted with an embrace and a smile. Thank you so much Rich. You were a genuine gift to us all.
