Patrick Flanagan Obituary

Published by Decker-Givnish Funeral Home on Jun. 10, 2021.
With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of our dear son and brother Patrick Flanagan, age 69, of Hatboro, Pa who passed suddenly on Thursday June 10,2021 at Abington Memorial Hospital; Abington, Pa after undergoing cardiac surgery. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. Patrick spent his early childhood in the Olney section of Philadelphia, he moved to Warminster and graduated from Wm. Tenant HS. He was the son of Donald and the late Ann Flanagan. He was a retired tradesman, who worked in construction for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Patrick was a loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan and diehard NASCAR fan. He was a friend to everyone! Most of all, he loved spending his free time with his family and friends. He spent most of his life in and around Warminster and to many he was often referred to as the "Mayor of Warminster". He was known for his sense of humor, outrageous stories and overall gift of blarney. Patrick captured life's essence by his envious ability to turn a casual acquaintance into a lifelong friend. His interests were simple and meaningful to him. He loved everything Mummers and could be counted on to "strut his stuff" at a moment's notice. Among his other loves were anything Doo Wop, Elvis, crabbing in the summer down the shore, bringing chocolate milk to his nieces and nephews and reminiscing with his siblings about their experiences growing up. Patrick was the beloved brother of Kevin wife Sherrie, sister Diane, sister Susan husband Robert, and brother Stephen wife Kathleen. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and by all who knew him. Patrick's family and friends were everything to him. He will be missed every moment of every day. His brother Kevin recently commented, "you could live to be 100 years old and still not have as many friends as Patrick had in his lifetime". Relatives and Friends are invited to Patrick's Life Celebration; Saturday June 19, 2021 from 9am to 10 am, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10am at the Nativity of Our Lord Church Warminister, Pa. His interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patrick's name to: www.woundedwarriorproject.org

Patrick, I am a little late in signing this because I so wanted this to be a nightmare that I would wake up from. You always knew what to say, you always made me smile even when I was in the worst mood and you did it within seconds. I will miss your texts, phone calls and messages, I will miss seeing you in our driveway sitting in the van as you did your daily rounds to check on the us girls. Who will be here to check on the limoncello now? You'll have to send me a sign to remember to do that. I will miss you so much Patrick, your had a huge heart and were one of the good guys. RIP buddy, Until we meet again .
To Patricks family, sending my deepest condolences. Patrick was a good man, a true friend and I will miss him dearly.

Our hearts are broken. Oh Patrick, 8 months after Aunt Joan. She talked about you often. She talked often about when you would leave school and eat lunch on the curb with all the workman. You were one of a kind. Bringing mom those stocks pound cakes. She loved them. You had such a big heart. I'm gonna miss you checking in on us to see if we were ok. I'm gonna miss spotting you around Warminster with your Semper Fi license plate on the front of your van. You are now in heaven with your mom who I know you loved so much and now with the rest of the family. Party is getting bigger up there. I love you so much. I miss you. I pray you enjoy and rest easy in heaven.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

My buddy Patrick it is so hard to believe that you are gone!! I will never forget our long talks on the veranda and all your lengthy stories, our days in the pool and the jacuzzi, nights at Richie's as I could go on forever. As I sit and sign this guestbook I am still in total shock and crying that I will never see you walk up the driveway again or hear that voice of yours!! Thank you for all the years watching Rosie for us and she is so deeply sadden and sits by the basement door waiting for you to come up. Thank you for everything you did for us and all the great memories!! I Love You and Miss You so much Pat!! Rest In Peace
