Brenda Kay Skipper

Brenda Kay Skipper, 71, of Wellford, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born in Little Mountain on July 16, 1950, she was the daughter of the late J.D. Melton and Catherine (Teal) Melton and was the wife of Ray Skipper having celebrated 57 years of marriage. Brenda was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by three brothers, Junior Melton, Jimmy Melton (Pat) and Dupree Melton (Bobbie); special niece, Dena Sims (Jeff); special nephews, Randy Melton, Wayne Melton (Karen), Ray Melton and Terry Melton; special great nieces and nephews, Brittany Larabee, Whitney Dodd, Erica Treadway, Jessica Melton, Ashlyn Melton, Gracie Melton, Aaron Melton, Drayton Melton, Cody Sims, Will Sims, Justin Sims, Blake Melton and great-great nephews, Paxton Walker, Karson Larabee, Colby Treadway, Cayden Treadway and great-great niece, Lyla Grace Treadway. She was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Linda Melton and two nephews, Jeff "Bar" Melton and Jason Melton. A graveside funeral service will be held at Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Scott Lewellen officiating.
