Victor J. Buono

Victor J. Buono, of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 29, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was 66 years old. Born October 16, 1954 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Anthony and Catherine (nee Rohs) and the beloved husband of Carolyn Buono (nee Doherty). In addition to his wife Carolyn, Victor is survived by his son Victor Buono, Jr. (Susan), his two daughters; Kim Burgess (Ron), and Kelly Ann Kreitzer (fiancé Josh Montaque) four grandchildren; Tyler, Caroline, Drew, and Christopher, and his two sisters; Cathy Bates (John) and Pauline "Cookie" Dugas (Chet). Victor just retired from Shannondell and was a dedicated hard worker who would do anything for anybody. Victor treasured his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved the beach and the mountains and traveling, Jamaica was his favorite place. Victor enjoyed comedy shows and walking along the beach and collecting seashells. In high school, Victor was the MVP on Bishop Kendrick's football team and later coached his son's team. Being a huge Eagles fan, he wore green all year. Victor loved sitting out on the patio watching the golfers, the deer, foxes and blue birds. Victor enjoyed playing mini golf, corn hole and would give you a handicap when needed. He was a very gentle, kind, caring man and so easy going, he loved to laugh and will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Victor's Memorial Mass on Thursday, October 7, at 10 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Church 1260 N. Trooper Rd. Norristown. Calling will be from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the church. Inurnment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Family services are by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 610-277-7000. In lieu of flowers, donations in Victor's name can be made to The American Cancer Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation ccf.org. Regardless of vaccination status, masks are required at St. Teresa of Avila Church.
