Ralph S. Mottolo Jr.

Ralph S. Mottolo, Jr. was welcomed into heaven on March 3, 2026 following a valiant fight with cancer. Born in the Juniata section of Philadelphia on March 15, 1964 he is the loving son to Ralph S. Mottolo, Sr. and the late Blanche Mottolo (nee Gallagher).

Ralph was a devoted husband and best friend to Mary Ellen (nee Ballantyne), cherished father to Samantha, dear brother to Lisa Carey (Michael), and friend to countless as well as his precious pet, Eliza.

Ralph worked as a mail room operator with Vanguard for 20 years before his retirement in 2020. In his free time, Ralph loved to watch all of Philadelphia Sports teams as well as Michigan Football fan. He loved watching his daughter play softball, cheer and perform in the theater. Above all, his greatest joy was his family who will miss him deeply.

Ralph made friends everywhere he went. He was blessed with the gift of gab, but also with the virtue of listening. Despite Ralph being intimidatingly tall to most, he had a way of making others feel comfortable and at ease. He truly was a gentle giant. Ralph has made an everlasting impression on the hearts of all he touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ralph's Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Boyd Horrox Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike.

On March 12, 2026, guests are invited to Visitation BVM Parish of Trooper, 196 N. Trooper Rd. from 10 am to 10:50 am with his funeral mass to follow at 11 am. Interment will be private at a later date.

In honor of Ralph's vibrant spirit, guests are asked to please keep your suit and formal dress in the closet and celebrate him by wearing bright colors or Philadelphia Sports gear!
