Carrie Hamm Obituary

Published by Smart Cremation Texas on Oct. 11, 2021.
Pastor Carrie R. Hamm was born to Fern and Ellen Brady on November 19, 1955. Carrie served the Lord she loved with all her heart and was called home on October 11, 2021, far too soon for all of us here. She is survived by husband Burt, two children, Jennifer Taylor (and favorite son-in-law Dale) and Nathaniel Hamm (and favorite daughter-in-law Katherine), two grandchildren, Gavin and Riley and many dearly loved family and friends. She married Burt R. Hamm on October 26th, 1974 in Cadott, WI where they lived, worked, and raised their children. She served as Youth Leader for Cadott United Methodist Church (UMC) where she made a difference in the lives of many young people. She earned degrees in Psychology and American Indian Studies from UWEC in 1999 and went on to pastor several churches in WI. Carrie was so full of life that it's hard to believe she's gone. She liked to walk barefoot in the grass, ride motorcycle, laugh with family and friends, travel to Arizona for winter, as well as cook, bake, sew, quilt, knit, fish, sing, go on mission trips, share God's Word, dance, write, cross-country ski, and garden. She had a gift for making those around her feel loved and as her son said so beautifully, "She gave more than she took." We love you our mom and wife and though the pain of our loss feels so intense right now, we know we will see you again.

Keeping all of you in thought and prayer! Carrie and I attended course of study at St. Paul School of Theology. I had the joy of getting to know her over the course of the many years spent on campus. She was truly a Disciple of Christ in every aspect of her life! I was blessed to have been on the journey with her!

So very sorry for your loss! Pastor Carrie will be missed by all who loved her!we met Pastor Carrie thru her Sister Pastor Cheri while Cherri served in Rib Lake. We (members of Cheri’s church) had formed a liturgical dance team and Pastor Carrie asked us to perform at her church, we also attended many WOW retreats! Pastor Carrie Blessed us all individually and as a group! We all were touched by her love of Jesus and how she helped us all become the Christian’s we are today!
We know without a doubt Our Lord
and Savior has said “well done My good and faithful Servant,as He handed her the Crown of Glory!
Our Sympathies to you and may God hold you close as you mourn her!

I have very fond memories of Carrie from high school. She had a bubbly personality, always smiling and laughing. She was a very friendly classmate. As was great to renew acquaintances again at high school reunions. My first reaction to seeing her and Burts children was awesome. They were a mini Carrie and Burt. It was such a joy to hear Carrie was a servant for the Lord in such a wonderful capacity. She will be missed for sure. My thoughts are with you Burt and family
