Kenneth H. Weber

Kenneth H. Weber, age 76, of McHenry passed away on February 07, 2022 at Northwestern Medical Center in McHenry, Illinois. He was born on October 13, 1945 in Woodstock, Illinois to Henry and Agnes (Smith) Weber. On May 14, 1971, Kenneth married his beloved wife Evelyn Weber in Woodstock, Illinois. Ken served in Vietnam and was a veteran of the U.S Air Force. He was a devout Catholic attending Holy Apostles. Ken enjoyed 15 years of retirement from electrical work at Althoff Industries and Elgin Wiring. Ken volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Senior Services. He loved to golf, spend time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. There was never a thing that he couldn't fix or figure out. He loved a good project and challenge; he was a very talented craftsman and enjoyed helping his family with his talent. Ken was a strong, kind, and loving man. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by many. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Weber; his three children: Toby Thennes of McHenry, IL, Tim Thennes of McHenry, IL, and Wendy (Daniel) Browne of Prairie Grove, IL; his three grandchildren: Lillie Thennes, Isla Browne, and Gannon Browne; his three siblings: Nancy (Chuck) Majercik of Johnsburg, IL, Peter Weber of Johnsburg, IL, and Harry (Lynette) Weber of Johnsburg, IL. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Agnes (Smith) Weber; his son: Todd Thennes; and his sister-in-law Betty Weber. Memorial Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry, IL. Mass will begin at 11:00 am and will be followed by inurement at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Volo, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be directed to St. Vincent De Paul at Holy Apostles.
