Fred and Joanne Rogers were married for over 50 years
Joanne Rogers met Fred Rogers when the pair were students at Rollins College in Florida. She earned a bachelor of music degree in piano performance and a masters degree in music from Florida State University. She performed professionally as a concert pianist with her friend Jeannine Morrison, calling themselves the Rogers-Morrison piano duo. They recorded two studio albums. She also spent time as a music teacher. She was married to Fred Rogers from 1952 until his passing in 2003.
