Eddie Haskell
Osmond was a child actor who made guest appearances on many TV shows including “Lassie.” He was originally supposed to be a guest star as Eddie Haskell on “Leave It to Beaver” but was so good that he was made a regular cast member. Eddie was known for getting his best friend Wally Cleaver and his younger brother Beaver into trouble. He hid his mischief by always playing up to adults by complimenting them, especially June Cleaver (Barbara Billingsley). After the series ended, Osmond continuted to make guest appearances on TV shows including “The Munsters” and “Petticoat Junction.” In 1970, he joined the Los Angeles Police Department and was saved by his bullet proof vest when shot multiple times in 1980. He later returned to acting, starring in “The New Leave It to Beaver,” which ran in the 1980s.
